This album not only stands out from the entirety of the music scene but it also stands out as the most interesting and well made out of it's own pack. This album isn't only an emotional journey full of reminiscence of your own world and mind and just a general step back from your current psyche but it also does all that while being very well made and creative. It achieves this outsider feeling because of the nostalgic air of the instrumentation and the lack of "I'm telling you about me" lyrical content. This album is like the background noise of staring at the ceiling thinking about tomorrow but it is an album that also has the detail for the listener to look into and pay attention to and get lost in the instrumentation like a kaleidoscope of sound and samples. It is a type of rugged type of beautiful, a type of magic that isn't achieved successfully or just downright isn't attempted by most. This is an instrumental journey like no other and I hope Malone evolves this sound further into more interesting ideas. It's a one of a kind experience but I think this should be a one and done thing. There isn't much to be exploring down this very specific rabbit hole anymore since Malone got to the bottom of it. A single complaint is that maybe certain tracks veer off their previously established track too quickly. While in some parts it is a good thing and it keeps this exciting some things just deserve delving into.
